ReplyDeleteJackie Robinson was a great role model. He broke baseballs color barrier during a time where racism was heavy. He did nothing to fight back from the hate mail and racial slurs thrown at him. HE was to proud of a man to stoop down to there level. His own teamates didnt understand how he put up with everyhting that was thrown at him. Through all this he still succeeded and won rookie of the year and now has a day in his honor.

ReplyDeleteThe person I admire most would be Michael Jordan. He never really had anything come his way, he went out and worked for the things he had and his success later in life. By taking a different college path he challenged himself, the time and effort he put in is beyond many others. Whether it was in basketball or life itself he always set the bar high and if it wasn't going to be done right there was no need to do it all. His choices, and the drive and heart he had amazes me. GO MUD DAWGS!

ReplyDeleteThe person I would consider a role model is Lady Gaga, because she stood up for gay rights. She also spoke at a rally to have people stop with the jokes and to respect them as real people. I admire her for this because I think that is important they are real people just like everyone else. Also she is right we need to stop the jokes because that hurts the people that are that way. She is an activist in this too, she is really comitted to this.
Jenny Schild is someone who I admire. I admire her because she knows what she wants in life. She does not sit around and wait, she goes after what she wants. She is active, responsible, loving, honest and so much more. Jen went and still goes through struggles but she over comes them. For these reasons, I truly admire Jenny Schild.
ReplyDeleteEven though I may have a lot of role models, I believe my mom is the best role model for me. I believe she is my role model because she had to make many decisions throughout my childhood that were very though decisions to make. For example, before I was born she decided not to go to college, and even though it may have not been a good decision looking back now, she still worked hard for her children. My mom have to overcome so many obsstacles in life, but she always took care of what she needed to do. My mom shows me that everything you do in life with have ups and downs, but you just have to make a decision that is best for you at that time.

ReplyDeleteI admire Reggie White for his choices and morality. Reggie White did not just become the greatest defensive football plaer of all time, he had to work for it. He chose to put forth the effort needed to become the best. Reggie White was also an ordained mininster, hence the name "Minister of Defense". He treated his oposition with relentless fury on the field but with inordinary class off of it. Reggie White lived a short but great life following the morals that his religion dictated.

ReplyDeleteI admire my own morality and choices for many reasons. Through experiancing bad choices I have learned to make choices that will help me instead of hurt me. When I don't quite understand something, I talk it over with myself and come up with a good explanation. I try to lead others into making good decisions, but am sometimes tempted by the people around me. I feel that I am the best role model that I can look up to because I end up making the final decisions anyways.

ReplyDeleteI admire Gandi’s morality and choices that he made. Not only did he spawn non-violent protests during his time but he tried to make a difference even if that difference would not benefit him in anyway. For example, Gandi lead a non-violent protest for gay rights, protested against landlords, and for many more reasons. Indian independence movement was something that he fought for.
