There would be a lot of things that wiuld change. I would have missed the end of the world in 2012. I would have missed many new and helpfull inventions such as jetpacks and flying cars. The future would have been cool to see but the darn gnomes wouldnt let that happen.

The society of anerica would have changed greatly. Many new groups of governing bodies may have popped up and taken controlle. There may be new religions in our society. These would have greatly changed how people would act around one another. Many issues would cause our socitey to be troublesome and im glad i missed it.

If I were in a 20 year sleep I think a lot of things inside of society would change. I would look 20 years older or starters which would be kind of awkward waking up and being 37. Society on the other hand would change a little bit I think. The economy looks as it it'd improve and money would be flowing again. I expect racism to be gone and other to be treated fairly.

Of course the jobs could change too. There could be new jobs that didn't exsist in 2010 just because of the new needs for the job or to help unemployment. New medicines and cures also can be found in the next 20 years I believe since technology is always advancing. Friends would be the next thing I see changing, some might move, or even pass away and it'd be upsetting knowing I never really saw them. In contrast 20 years is a long time, and theres always room for change.

The changes I would see in the world and around me would be that the people would have changed. The economy would be different everything would maybe be back to normal. The technology would be different. The reason I think this is because technology is changing consently and so is the economy.

The schooling would be different on how the teachers teach their class and how the school runs. I think that because schooling is changing alnost everyday. The laws will probably be more strict. Everyday people make mistakes and then the laws get more strict.

Every day there is a change in our society. Most citizens can not keep up either. Now after twenty years things will have changed dramaticly. Schools and businesses will not be ran the same way and will possibly look quite different.
Schools might not have teachers but instead have technology educate children. Text books will more then likly be extint in the ciriculum too. These are only two changes in a school, therefore there are many more. Businessess will be ran different with newer and more high tech technology. Some will be gone and some may be created do to changes in our society. In closing, you can not predict the future for everyday new things are being created and our society is changing.

After waking up from a twenty year snooze, I picture many changes. There will be a new president that rules over the United States. There will be 60 states total after the U.S. overrules Mexico and some islands. People will be very colorful because they will dye their hair and tatoo themselves according to the state they were born in.

People will speak in all text language, and they will be able to tell what people are saying because of special vibrations in their phones. People will consider eating,as a professional sport. Obesity will be high because everyone will be vegetarians. Animals will no longer exist in the world. Magic gnomes run the way the government works.

Well lots of things would have changed over 20 years of sleeping.Look at all the things that have changed over the last 20 years and you were alive to see this all. I couldnt inmagne being a sleep for that long and then one day waking up.
Some things that I think would change would be how people look and what they all wear because fashion keeps changing and 20 years is a long time. also there would be more jobs or people with more jobs. another thing that would change is society would be the technology, it would be way more advanced. Lastly I think are education will be a lot better and can help people a lot more.

I would see many changes. Maybe I would see flying cars or such advadnced medical technolagy that people were living for hundreds of years. I would see a differnt type of computer and T.V. that would be very strange to me. I might even see a new style of government of maybe even a new world power. Maybe china will own the world. Also I will see a new way of doing things. Often times people change the way that they do everyday things that may seem small but when in fact they are very large to someone that is just walking in to the new thing.
I might see differnet ways of acting and different things that socity has done to make living more accepebale to the current culture. I might even see different political groups that would rule instead of democrat and republican. The tea party has taken a major power role in american socity today and that happened in about a year so imagen what could happen in 20.

if i slept for 20 years and woke up some of the places i think i would find changes are schools, highways, and homes. Some of the things i think would change in school are the number of computers and other electronics would incress. also i think i would find more e readers instead of text books and homework. highways would change by having smaller cars that can do most of the driving for the driver and help prevent a crash. also the highways would be better maintained and have a better flow of trafic so there would be not as many back ups on the roads. last i think the normal home might reflect a cleaner and more ecofriendly society both inside and out. if i was sleeping for 20 years i think i would like some of the changes in schooling, living, and driving.

It would be amazing what would happen if you fell asleep and you woke up 20 years later. Technology is getting improved every single day. I think that technology would be so improved that we wouldn't even need to drive cars, we could just sit in them and go where we need to go. In schools there would be no paper, pencils, or text books because we would all have lap tops to do our work on. It would be amazing to see what people would come up with in 20 years.

I think that in our homes we would have ovens or microwaves that make the food for us. I also can't imagine how advance our televisions, ipods, and computers would be in 20 years. I also think it would be amazing to see what our future jobs would be like by the advanced use of technology, if you think about we probably wouldnt have many factory jobs becuase of the advanced systems. I also believe that the restraunts would be more than just Subway or McDonalds, there would be healthier choices out there. In 20 years the technology will be amazing and everything will be so advanced, but day by day everything will be more adavnced.

After my slumbering for twenty years I would expect the changes in the world to be crazy. I definatly believe that I would still be able to function in society after my deep sleep, I just think life would be a lot more difficult. Some changes that I would expect would be technology, career, and the actions of people.

Though we think of todays world as being high-tech and advanced, it is not hard to see that the future will only bring more advancement. Technology will surly bring new types of technology and products. Programs will become moer advaced and complex, but our lives will surly be easier. Careers will also be different. As we have already experianced, new jobs have been created and other jobs no longer exist. It seems that this will only continue in years to come. Finally people will change. When talking with my parents they often have stories about the times when they were young. As we become a more advanced society, our lives will change and we will go about differently. How people live their lives will surly be different along with the way we act. Will these inventions and ideas make us more open, angry, modest,or lazy? Only time will tell, I supose.

I don's really see myself taking drinks from strangers, especailly gnomes in the near future or ever, so I really hope I do not have to worry about this. Of course though, if this could happen, it would be quite the shock when I woke up.

Many things would change in society during the twenty years I was asleep. First, many of the people that are in my life today would not be alive. Also, the president would not be the same as today. The economy would have changed significantly over twenty years. Furthermore, new jobs would be created that are not part of today's world.
Next, technology is advancing every second. After twenty years new innovations will exist. Schools will be very different and probably have more advanced resources. In addition, fashion will have changed a lot. New styles will exist that were not present before the twenty years I was asleep. Also, globally many changes will occur between different countries.

After waking up from 20 years of sleep a lot has changed in society. The thing that would change the most is the new technology being used. Cars would be much more advanced and the passenger would be doing less than what they use to and the cars would be more for comfort not practicality. Also with technology many jobs would be eliminated and replaced by new advances in technology. Another thing that would change would be the education system. Text books would probably be eliminated and we would almost be a paper free society.
Another thing that would change drastically is the government. I think that in 20 years of sleeping there will be more government programs and much higher taxes. Another thing that would change are family values. I believe that families will get much smaller and more people will move closer to larger cities to be near resources. In the long run these changes will help but also hurt the new society that is 20 years from now.

After waking up from a 20 year sleep, I think that there would be a lot of changes in the world. Everyday I can see things changing in the way people live, so in 20 years, I suspect that the changes will be very noticable. Some of the many things that I think will change in the world are technology, transportation, costs, and just everyday life.

Even today technology is changing everyday. When a new kind of phone or ipod comes out, the next week there will be an updated version of that phone or ipod. In 20 years the type of techonology like phones, ipods, or computers that people use will be much more high tech and have many more uses.

Along with technology, transportation is changing in our every day life today also. New and better kinds of cars are coming out every month. In 20 years I think that we could posibly be driving cars that do not run on gas, or maybe cars that drive themselves. Although the cost of these technology things may be higher, I think that in 20 years the cost of everything will keep going up.

Overall, I think that life in 20 years will be alot different! Everyday life will be completely different, and everything will be much more high tech and valuable.

If I were to be asleep for 20 years, I would expect many changes. There have been so many changes even in the past 10 years today. For example, The Netbook. 10 years ago, computers were just starting, they were huge block machines. Today, we have something no bigger than an agenda book, called a Netbook. Netbooks are mini laptops that are designed to be more movable and transportable. They have wireless internet, hold information on Word documents, and webcams just like HP Laptops. The only difference is the size. Imagine what society can make different and better from Netbooks in 20 years from today?

Many things in technology will be different in 20 years. Transportation, mobile devices, music players, and so much more can all change immensly. The way people dress might also change. Fashion is always changing or returning. For example, the style of the 80's has come back today. If a style comes back today from 30 years ago, just imagine what the style will be in 20 years from now. Other ways of education might be invented. Textbooks may be swiped out and not used anymore. Who knows, maybe in twenty years every student will have their own Netbook to use during class.

After sleeping this long you would miss out on alot. You would miss out on seeing your friends and family living out their lives, and all the events happening in the world. You would miss the special and important things that you should never miss or would never want to, like weddings, and funerals of loved ones. You would be coming in to a totaly new world having missed out on all these years of your life, and never being able to get them back. I wouldn't be able to graduate with my class, and every one would already be in a career, and I wouldn't even be done with highschool yet.

Along with this you would feel so lost coming back. You wouldn't know where to go, or reconize people. If people havn't seen you for this long they have probaly moved on with life, and forgot about you. This would be wierd because everything would look different, and the technology would be new as well. Do you go on life, or would you try to go back to make up all those years you missed. I think this would be scary, and I hope it never happens to me!!!!

Society changes daily. After sleeping for twenty years, it would be very difficult to catch up with society. Many dramatic changes would have occurred. In my opinion, the change that would be the hardest to adapt to would be looking twenty years older. The changes that occurred would be from technology to looks.

Over the past years technology has really developed. Schools would have much more technology, and text books probably wouldn't exist. Over the past years cell phones have come a long way, in twenty years I can't imagine how developed cell phones will be. Also, the way people will look will change over time. People I knew before falling asleep would grow and become older. The look of the town would be more developed and modern. Over a twenty year span, people would miss so much in society.

If I were to sleep for 20 years, I think alot of things would change in society. First, I think that technology would be very different. It could be more advanced and easier to use. Having new technolgy means that new medicines and cures for cancer will be found.

I also believe that the way schools and businesses are run will change. Textbooks and other learning tools will be all on the computer. There would also be a new president running the country and we will have a different type of government. Lastly, I think the way people dress and act will be different. Styles change very fast and new creative things come about everyday.

After a 20 year snooze I would expect to see many different changes surrounding me. I would see the members of KoRn being over 60 years old, as well as my friends and family being on new career paths, or being retired. I would also be unaware of who the president is at the time, and what is going on in the political world. I believe it would be hard to cope with these situations, as well as many other things.

I believe the most important challenge I would face would not knowing about what is cool in the world. I would have no knowledge of the things people do for fun, and what new trends are taking place. Because of these scenarios I would be an outcast in society, which would not be very fun at all. Adding to this I would have most likely find out that the Toronto Maple Leafs still haven't won a Stanley Cup in a very long time. In conclusion, I believe this would be very difficult and depressing to deal with because of the fact that so many different things change in so little time.

    Ya boi!!!!

If I were to wake up twenty years into the future, I would think that a race of super-intelligent apes would take over the world. These super intelligent apes would destroy every building in modern society and replace them with coconut trees. Things like cars and cell phones would no longer exist. Instead of cars, these apes would ride a breed of super fast bison. Instead of computers and cell phones, the apes would have telepathy so that they could talk to anyone they want.

Although this society would have its issues, it would still be much better then our society today. For example, these apes would actually create a government that isn't corrupt or greedy. Also, the educational system would be better. Plus, there would be government-run health care, so there wouldn't be any problems with health care. And finally, all of these apes would convert to one religion, in which they worship a little blue elf that they call Papa Smurf.

Society in 20 years would be alot different then lots of people think. There would obviously be a new leader, there would be alot of companies that are around today that would be completly gone. There would be plenty of new ones to replace them but that besides the point. I think in 20 years wal-mart will be the worlds biggest most famous corporation. The econmy should be stimulated, and we should have created things like the flying car. Thats just the world, now just thinking about america there will also be alot of differences.

Schools will be different also the job title as teacher might not even be available they might have robots or just teach all the classes threw video, and maybe schools wont exsits they might have to do it from there home. That way they can make more room for businesses and that would ultimatly help the econmy. the things people wear would also be different idn wht they wud wear but im possitive it would change. Also Im thinking that in 20 years the world will be a better place, with the things they can do with technology today its crazy they will find a way to end world hunger. The world will be a better place because of technology.

When i wake up after 20 years, i would notice some friends have left or family has died or even gotten bigger. the year of 2011 would be no more. there would be new technology coming out and things would be more high tech. there would be new presidents ruling the states. also the books would all be on the internet and people would talk throught texting or on the internet.

after 20 years things would be different. it would be hard to reconise poeple, places, and maybe things around you. your friends might not reconize you and you them. the world might have more problems than what it has now and they would be a lot more complicated and harder to solve. animals would die and knoms would rule the galaxcy:)(they would rule what we call government.)

If I were to wake up after a 20 year sleep, which would never happen, I would see a totally changed world. Everything would cost more and their would be less jobs. Things like cell phones would be very different than what they are today. I would miss inventions of cool new stuff like jetpacks and flying cars.

Society would be changed greatly as well. I think that the United States of America will change a lot too. I think that we will not be as dominant as a country like we have been since WWII. I think that China will have the most power. North Korea will probly launch some missles at us and we will be in a war with them.

  26. Society is always changing. Whether it is technology, social living, opinions/ways of living, trends, an d much more. Technology is always changing, with more and more advances everyday! Just think how difficult it is for elders and older people to understand and use our generation's technology. I think I would find myself in the same scenerio if I slept and woke up 20 years later! It would be a difficult transition. I also think that pretty soon people will be come so relient on technology that we won't even have to walk or feed ourselves- it will be done with some sort of tecnology.

Social life will be a big change as well, communication will most likely be through some sort of device, and people's common sense and "people skills" will evaporate. I see alot of people becoming more independant and more focused on themselves. I also see less job- as technology will take over. 20 years from now might something positive or negative.

If I fell asleep for 20 years, I think there would be many changes in the world. I think there would be flying cars, or people could teleport anywhere they wanted to go. Also, the leaders of America would be different, obviously.

I don't think I would like to wake up 20 years into the future, because I might miss out on some important events. One good event would be the end of all wars. Another cool thing that could happen is people could travel in space, even if they aren't an astronaut. The only positive thing for me that would be a result of me falling asleep for 20 years is that it would be 20 years without school. I also hope the music changes, because most of the music today sucks.

there are many things that changed over 20 years of sleeping. never take anything to drink that a nom gives u. somethings that changed over 20 years for Rip van winkle are his wife dies and he really truly figures out who he is. he also was asleep for so long that he missed the American renacnse and some wars but when he awoke he found out what really happend and how he has been asleep for 20 years and how he was put to sleep. he was very favoribale among the village of the people and loved to have a good time he also like to play with the children of the town and make jokes.A lot of things have changed over the years from new technology to how cars and trucks are so efficent now. gas prices are high and people dont drive much because it cost to much money to run anything with a motor. prices of everything have changed over the years because things used to be cheap and now we have to pay an arm and a leg for everything and it gets very costly after a while.

If i slept for 20 years i wouldn't be in school any longer which would be pretty cool. Many things would probably change such as economic status of the country. We could be in a war with another country. We would have a new leader. Possibly even a completely different government.
Other things that could change would be eduacation it could get worse or better. Another would be unemployment, because if education is down uneployment would be up and vice versa. Much new technology will be out by then too. There might be alot of medical advances also. Overall there would be many changes.

Obama would be dictator and we would be a communism. It would suck because everybody would be brainwashed from mind control stuff and robots would take over the world. I would then go in a time machine back 20 yrs and take the liquor again.

I would then be faced with the same problem, but everytime I would be attacked by the robots I would go back in the time machine and chill in the past. I would go back in time and kill Hitler, and then I would go to the sixties and be a hippie. After learning from them, I would go back to the future and stop the robots and make world peace.
