The pre-reading question today is two-fold- 1) Is it ever wrong to do the right thing? 2) Is it ever right to do the wrong thing? Give examples of each in your response.
Yes, it can be wrong to do the right thing and right to do the wrong thing. For instance it can be wrong to turn your friends into the police but it is also the right thing to do. Another example would be, it is right to tell a white lie to someone if it makes them feel better about the sittuation, which would be wrong.
I think yes ande no for both. It really depends on the situation. An example of it being right to do the wrong thing would be telling a little white lie. Kiley Van Lanen
Austin I do believe that it can be wrong to the the right thing. It also sometimes right to do the wrong thing. If someone does the wrong thing and you tell someone about it, that may be wrong you dont need to be in other peoples business. If someone does the wroing thing it may be right because if they might have needed to do it.
What is the pre read question. I dont know. so I say the question is both baced on the cercomstances. it can be both right and wrong at the same time. such as it could be right for you but wrong for the others or vise versa. whitch it all depends on your personal values. Caylon thede
I don't think the first one is true. I do think the second one is true. An example would be if someone doesn't want you to tell their parents about a "problem" they have and you do it anyway because you think they could be endangering their selves.
For both of those questions I have the same answer. To determine whether you are supposed to do wrong or right you need to understand the situation. Depending on the situation will determine what to do. There are times where I would do the wrong thing and there are times where I would do whats right.
1)In some cases yes, because you can harm someone close by doing the "right" thing like turning people in for doing something bad would be the "right" thing to do but if it affects friends I wouldn't.
2)Its not ever really right to do the wrong thing but in some cases you have to or need to do it.
I think it is wrong to do the right thing sometimes. I think if your friend did something wrong and you turned them in for whatever they did. Your friend might think that it was wrong of you to do the right thing by turning them in. I think in some situations it is right to do the wrong thing. For example if you believe in standing up for something but that something has been outlawed you still are doing the right thing in your mind by standing up for it.

Yes in some cases it might be wrong to do the right thing, like if you have a friend who is addicted to something and you tell someone, even though you did the right thing your friend may think otherwise. However, doing the wrong thing might also be the right thing, kind of like when your kid scrapes their knee and you say "suck it up." although it may seem wrong, your teaching your kid a good lesson.
I think that sometimes its wrong to do the right thing. Who is to say what is right or wrong for a certain person. For example, if a woman has had a hard life her entire life and has nothing in her name and has to do some shady things to survive. I think that it would be wrong to tell the police or someone that would arrest this women for trying to make a living. If it isn't hurting you why make that person struggle more? I think its right to do the wrong thing sometimes, if one of your friends said something really mean about another friend, you should tell the other friend what was said her. But you feel it would be better if she didn't find out so her feelings wouldn't get hurt. That might be wrong but its right to do it because your trying to save your friend from being hurt.
