Equality and sameness are not synonymous. Sameness means 2 things are the same. Equality means 2 things are equal but not the same. The too are similier but not synonymous.

  2. Equality and sameness are the same mainly because they are both talking about the same thing. Equality meaning two things are equal. Sameness meaning two things are the same. Both meanings are very similar.

  3. No they are not the same. If you have equality two people could both have books but one of the person's books could be much higher quality than the other. If it were to be the same though both people would have the same quality books.

No because equality means your equal. Sameness means you’re the same. Everyone is their own person. To be treated equal means you should treat them the same way, but they all don’t have to be the same. Everyone responds to things differently. If we were all the same equality doesn’t exist.

  5. I think eguality and sameness are similar but not the same. Someone can have the same personality but they are not equal. Equality is pretty much being the same in every way there are no differences. Sameness is were u could have the same personality, but u could be different athleticly making u not equal.

  6. No, I don't think that they are the same thing. People don't have to look the same, or have the same income to be considered equal. No matter what their last name is or where they work, that should not matter. Being the same isn't good, if everyone had "sameness," the world would be a boring place and we wouldn't have some of the wonderful things that we have today. So no, I don't think sameness is like equality.

Yes, equality and sameness are the alike. To be equal is to be the same. I personally think that if someone is equal they do not need to look or say the same things. They are the same as in their beliefs, how they chose to react to others, along with talking action. They may not think exactaly the same but if everone is treated the same equally, then everyone has the right to believe in what they chose and more likely will find that they are more alike/the same then what they think.

  8. I dont think that someone has to be the same to be equal. If one person is from a richer family and the other from a poor family, they still can be equal. If the two people are both equaly smart, then their both equal no matter what kinda of lifestyle they live.

No, I do not believe that they are synonymous. They are somewhat close in meaning, but not enough to be a synonymous. Equality is where everything is equal but that doesn't mean they are the same. Sameness is everything is identical in any situation.

Equality and sameness are not synonymous. Two things can be equal but that doesnt mean they are the same. Just like two things can be the same but not equal. So no equality and sameness are not synonymous.

  11. No, I do not believe they aren't synonymous. All people are humans and we have the same general traits but yet we had slavery and denied women the right to vote until the early 1900's. There is really no true equality in modern society. And even today even though we are all "equal" or the "same" women do not have equal salaries and there is still a lot of racial tension. These words are not and should not be used as a synonym.
